Auto-biography I'm working as Remote Sensing Scientist with GNS Science, NZ's leading geoscience research institute. One of the key areas of GNS is to monitor and understand science behind four types of geohazards; landslides, volcanology, earthquakes and tsunami. I'm working in the Geospatial Data & Analysis Team who responsible of providing all kind GIS/RS/UAV/LIDAR/Photogrammetry geospatial data, its capture and processing to other teams in these research areas. The monitoring and propagation of rain-induced and the EQ-induced landslides are the biggest challenges that NZ faces. The large scale EQ and Tsunami events are rare but those cause widespread damage. The volcanic eruption is another major concern of the country. Dec 2019 explosive eruption of the White Island is one such incident that took 22 lives but there are many minor eruptions which happened on other volcanoes.
